CORPORATE OPPORTUNITIES

At ADA, everyone matters. Not just the child receiving the adaptation, but all who are involved in designing and building that adaptation. Our collaborative process involves therapists, teachers, parents, siblings, students, interns, and community members. Every day we demonstrate that schools and communities can ‘build for one, engage everyone, and change everything.’™

HANDS-ON BUILDING

AND

CRITICAL THINKING

IN NEW YORK STATE

At least 150,000 children in NY State do not receive the custom adaptations they need to reach their academic, social, or vocational potential. The Adaptive Design Association exists to end this inequity. Every day we build user-specific adaptations and offer educational programs so anyone and everyone can gain skills and practice adaptive design in their homes, schools, workplaces, and communities across the globe.

WHY CUSTOM?

Customizing adaptations is important because catalog items don't always fit, and are often abandoned. Customization is rarely undertaken because the government and private insurance will not always pay for it. This means a huge number of children are not getting the devices they need and failing through no fault of their own.

WHY YOU PAY TO VOLUNTEER

Your group will have great fun in the workshop! However, it is your financial contribution that allows individuals and families in the New York City area to have access to custom equipment that addresses their specific need and helps them fulfill their potential. Over the last year ADA staff, interns and volunteers made 613 pieces of adaptive equipment. 76% of devices were covered by individual and corporate donations. Corporate programs vary in cost. Email info@adaptivedesign.org to learn more.
