ACADEMICS

Essential Question:

What adaptations do children need to study, contribute, and achieve their highest potential in all academic areas?

A teacher, smiling, is holding an object in each hand. Each object consists of 3 panels hinged together. Each is about 18" high. The three panels together reach about 40". The object to the left is painted pink. The one on the right is painted green and rests on a table next to the teacher. The side panels fold in at an angle creating a "fence" around anyone sitting at the table.

Classrooms are wonderful social settings, but there are times when a student should ignore others and concentrate on what she's doing.  Simple desktop study carrels reduce visual distraction, thereby promoting concentration and focus.
